School for Workers congratulates Professor Armando Ibarra in his selection as an Exceptional Service Award Recipient from the Office of the Provost and Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The award recognizes and honors Professor Ibarra’s service and dedication to the successful future of the Chican@/Latin@ Studies Program. Through advocating for and hiring new faculty members and establishing a fund within CLS, his work will benefit students and faculty for years to come. Additionally, Professor Ibarra’s contributions to community outreach and his guidance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic have been invaluable to UW-Madison. . The award from the Office of the Provost and Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs provides financial support for Professor Ibarra to focus on scholarly work in the academic year 2021-2022.
