School for Workers programming is switching to an online format. Classes are developed and led by faculty on a University of Wisconsin-Madison supported online platform. Each class is formatted to be accessible online as a virtual classroom, self-paced institute, or blended institute.

School for Workers is available to you remotely, and we are actively continuing our mission. To learn more about UW–Madison’s efforts and decisions related to COVID-19, visit http://covid19.wisc.edu.

Complete your registration online below before the registration deadline date.

After successfully registering for classes, you will receive three e-mails:

  1. Immediately, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that you have successfully registered.
  2. Before your class start date, you will receive an e-mail prompting you to create an ID to access the online class platform.
  3. Before your class start date, you will receive an e-mail providing information on navigating your online institute and online learning best practices.

After completing your registration, you will automatically connect to a secure online payment site. Tuition is due 48-hours before your class start date and is accepted only online at charge.wisc.edu/schoolforworkers.

University of Wisconsin–Madison provides equal opportunities in programming. If you need an interpreter or have a disability and require accommodations, please make your request at registration. You may also make this request by contacting the School for Workers office at schoolforworkers@dcs.wisc.edu or 608-262-2112. Requests are confidential.

For a full refund of your online class, you must notify the School for Workers 48-hours in advance, or more, before the program start date. Cancellation notification can be done by emailing schoolforworkers@dcs.wisc.edu or by calling 608-262-2112. If the cancellation notification is received less than 48-hours before the class start date, the cancellation fee will be, at a minimum, one-third of the original registration fee. When enrollment criterion is not met, or conditions beyond our control intervene, School for Workers reserves the right to cancel the course. If the school cancels a class, tuition is refunded in full.
