Upcoming classes

School for Workers programming is switching to an online format. All classes are developed and led by university faculty on a University of Wisconsin-Madison supported online platform. Each class is formatted to be accessible online as a virtual classroom, self-paced institute, or blended institute. Click on the tabs above to learn more.

Online learning may be new to you, but School for Workers faculty and staff are available to ensure your success! Participants will receive information before the class start date on navigating the online platform and online learning best practices. Tips and guidance are available within the online classes, too.

The virtual classroom is a live institute that uses online video conferencing platforms for learning, discussion, and activities.

The self-paced institute is an online class structured into one-week units. Each unit comprises readings, short videos, activities, and student discussion boards to explore a set topic. Participants can access the course whenever it fits their schedule and do not have to be online at any specific time.

The blended institute is an online class that blends self-paced learning activities with opportunities in a live virtual classroom.
