Free film screening and discussion: “U.S. Labor Then and Now” coming to Wausau

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School for Workers is hosting a free film screening and discussion event titled “U.S. Labor Then and Now” on March 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will take place at the UW-Stevens Point at Wausau’s Center for Civic Engagement, located at 625 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for registration. Professor Michael Childers will lead the screenings and discussions of several labor-focused films, including:

  • The Making of Milwaukee
  • America’s Most Dangerous Woman
  • The Gilded Age
  • Fist Full of Lightning
  • The Triangle Fire
  • Divided We Fall
  • Return of the Gilded Age
