Dr. Ericka Wills honored with Andrew Purnell Jr. Trailblazer Award

The UW-Madison School for Workers is proud to announce that Assistant Professor Ericka Wills has been awarded the Andrew Purnell Jr. Trailblazer Award by Illinois State University. This honor recognizes her unwavering commitment to workers’ rights, union advocacy, and community-engaged scholarship.

Dr. Wills, who earned both her M.S. in 2008 and Ph.D. in 2015 from Illinois State University, has devoted her career to empowering working communities. Through her leadership at the School for Workers, she has established strong partnerships with labor organizations, advancing educational initiatives that promote workplace equity and justice.
