Join us on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 1–5 p.m. at the Pyle Center (AT&T Lounge) for a free public symposium celebrating the 100th anniversary of the School for Workers.
This special event highlights the School’s legacy and future in labor studies, bringing together faculty, scholars, and labor leaders to explore a century of empowering workers through education, research, and community partnerships.
Program highlights include a series of engaging panels and discussions:
- A Century of Empowering Workers: Lessons Learned – A panel exploring the school’s impact over the last hundred years.
- From Campus to Community: Advancing Labor Scholarship at UW – A session showcasing current research and academic contributions to labor studies from across campus.
- Bridging the Gap: Academic-Labor Partnerships for Change – A roundtable discussion focused on collaborative approaches to building knowledge with and for workers, featuring community and organizational partners.
