The 2025 Midwest School for Women Workers, hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s School for Workers in partnership with UALE, brought together women workers from across the Midwest for four days of connection, education, and action.

Held June 19–22 in Madison, the conference welcomed participants from a wide range of industries—including manufacturing, education, health care, construction, IT, and food service. From union members and officers to worker center participants and unorganized workers, attendees came ready to build skills, share stories, and strengthen solidarity.

This year’s theme, Resilience in Action: Women Workers Lead the Way, guided a dynamic program that included workshops on labor rights, history, organizing, and engagement. Sessions were held in both English and Spanish, reflecting the diversity of the group.

With five states represented, participants traveled from both large cities and rural communities to be part of the experience. The weekend closed with a renewed sense of momentum and collective power.
