Labor Forward joins the national momentum of Labor Spring 2026

This April, the School for Workers’ Labor Forward forum is proud to be part of Labor Spring 2026, a nationwide movement bringing together workers, students, educators, unionists, and community allies to advance workplace justice, racial equity, and the public good.

On April 15th at noon (CT), Assistant Professor Lola Loustaunau will host a special Labor Forward conversation with Tyler Daguerre, co‑founder of the Independent Organizing Network (I.O.N.), spotlighting grassroots, worker‑led organizing beyond traditional union models. This online event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required to receive the webinar link.

What is Labor Spring?

Now in its fourth year, Labor Spring is a national series of events coordinated by Georgetown University’s Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor. Each spring, Labor Spring connects campus‑based conversations with organizing happening in workplaces and communities across the country, creating space for education, action, and solidarity. Events range from teach‑ins and speaker panels to rallies, screenings, and worker‑led discussions. Labor Spring 2026 continues this momentum, with events running from January through May and emphasizing the links between worker justice, democracy, and collective power.
