In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s commitment to community service, Africasong Communications announces The Forward Together Forum (TFTF) Vodcast Series. The series will feature presentations and open discussions led by national and Wisconsin-based community agency leaders, educators and authors, historians, artists, and activists dedicated to serving others. Each edition will offer varied insights on how we “all” can help to create greater understanding between diverse groups as a pathway to reducing human hatred. The tragedy of this social pandemic still plagues our society.
The premiere Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 pm Central Time, has guest speaker Dr. Armando Ibarra, Associate Professor of School for Workers. Dr. Ibarra will speak on the topic of “Labor Migration, Dignity and Democracy: The Dynamics of Latino Migration and Settlement and How They are Transforming Wisconsin.” A live Q&A with participants will follow Dr. Ibarra’s presentation.
Registration is complimentary and open to the general public. Presentations will be recorded and archived for future viewing. For more information visit www.africasong.org.
