Tuition: $1,130 | Register by: Jan 29

Build the skills and confidence to represent workers effectively in grievance and arbitration proceedings. This immersive institute guides you step by step through investigating, writing, and presenting grievances, while developing strategies to resolve disputes successfully. You will put your learning into action by preparing and presenting a case before a labor arbitrator. This hands-on experience provides a realistic setting to apply your skills and receive direct feedback on your performance.

Class location and lodging

Residential institutes are held at the Fluno Center (601 University Ave., Madison, WI). A room block is available. Participants arrange their own lodging and parking. Reserve a room by calling 608-441-7117 (mention parking needs when booking).

Cancellation policy

  • Full refund for residential institutes if canceled 14+ days prior
  • On-demand institutes are non-refundable

When enrollment criterion is not met or conditions beyond control intervene, School for Workers reserves the right to cancel the institute. If an institute is canceled, tuition is fully refunded. Participants are responsible for their travel costs.
