What
Learn the skills to develop effective arbitration brief writing. In this course we work on organizing and presenting written arguments for submission of briefs to CIR and neutral arbitrators. This course is recommended for IBEW Local and International representatives and officers with arbitration and brief writing responsibilities. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice brief writing and receive feedback for improvement. Topics include:
- Developing arguments in discipline and contract interpretation cases.
- Developing persuasive briefs.
- Incorporating research to strengthen your brief.
- Applying lessons from past IBEW cases.
When
Class begins Monday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. and adjourns at noon on Friday, January 12.
