Labor Forward: SEIU and UW Meritor Hospital Nurses

In March 2021, SEIU Health Care Wisconsin nurses ratified a collective bargaining agreement with Unity Point Meritor Hospital after notice of a potential strike. A central concern of the nurses was replenishing time off for many workers who had to burn through time when quarantined or otherwise missed work for reasons related to COVID-19. At the online April 21, 2021, Labor Forward kick-off event, SEIU representatives and nurses will discuss the campaign, including the broad outside support that played a role in their success.
