In this two-day examination of worker rights, we will go beyond the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and take a critical look at the current state of workers’ rights under the laws, with an emphasis on federal employment law statutes and enforcement of these laws. We will review several federal laws, with an emphasis on the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Topics we’ll cover include:

  • Employment discrimination and sexual harassment
  • Wage and hour laws and wage theft
  • Worker safety and the opioid crisis
  • Relevant employment law court decisions
  • Administration of the FMLA
