Robert’s Rules workshop | Aug 16, 2021

About

Need a better understanding of what’s going on at meetings?  Want to participate more effectively and accomplish your goals?  Or do you need to lead meetings yourself?  This workshop by the University of Wisconsin School for Workers will familiarize you with Robert’s Rules of Order, a set of procedures used by most unions and other organizations.  You’ll leave with the knowledge and tools you need to ensure efficiency, fairness, and democracy in meetings. Among other things, we will discuss how meetings can help build union capacity and strength, learn the process for making motions and amendments, review tips and clarifications for meeting procedure, and use some practice scenarios to apply what we’ve learned.

This free workshop is sponsored by the MALC Young Workers’ Committee, no registration is required.
